Pesticides

Like I said, an easy victory here. We don’t need thousands of pounds of pesticides to keep our courses green and lush. There's no need to keep weeds, pesky rodents, and insects at bay. In fact, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that we don’t use any. Without doing any research, I’m willing to make an official statement on this.

It's worth noting that the US is the biggest user of pesticides. Canada and European countries have much more stringent laws and, thus, have a better track record. Not perfect, but better. Is there anything more enchanting than a beautiful golf course? From Pebble Beach to Augusta to Whistling Straits, the list goes on. Golf courses carved into the forest, in the heart of the desert, or on the water’s edge - there's something for everyone. These immaculately maintained courses bend nature to the will of man, but it's easy to overlook the tremendous resources required to build and maintain them. From human and natural resources to economic and spatial considerations, the environmental impact of golf courses can be significant, especially depending on their location. Never Have I Ever

There’s a day that finally works for you and your buddies, and against all odds, you snag the first tee time of the day. But wouldn’t it be your luck that you get rained out? The planning, anticipation, the shit talking in the group chat, all for nothing. Which brings me to my first point. I’ve never encountered adverse weather in the golf simulator. I dictate the weather conditions. I’m the master of my dominion. No need to bring your rain gear, ruin that brand new glove you just unwrapped, get your white shoes all dirty, and then find out those waterproof shoes aren’t quite as waterproof as you were hoping. Hello fellow sim golf enthusiasts and especially those of you on the fence who need a little extra nudge. This article may just be for you. Are you trying to justify making the investment of putting a golf simulator in your home? Is your spouse, partner, or whoever their preferred pronoun is, resistant towards the idea? I’m here for you, friend. Can I call you a friend? Is it too soon? We can define our relationship later, but for now, just know that I’m on your side. I’m an ally, and together, we are going to wear down the hesitancies that you may have or simply erode your loved ones until they cave. They may resent you for a bit, but I promise this will pass. TIME

Ah, time, our most valuable commodity. There are only so many golfable hours in the day. And for many, golf is not the top priority. I’m not saying that’s right, but we all make choices in life. To each their own. We have...

There comes a time, for most of us anyways, when nature dictates it’s time to put the sticks away and that the golf season is done. You don’t get a vote, it’s just over. And some of us are ready for that break and have families we need to attend to. For me, and I don’t think I’m alone here, I wasn’t ready to be done. I was more than fine to keep neglecting my family and continue golfing. I was tired of working on my game during the “normal” golf season months, putting by clubs away for the long winter, and then just hoping I had any semblance of a golf game when next season began.
